Melissa Mimidis has been with FUNdamentals and Building Blocks Therapy since 2007 after moving to the DC area from Lancaster, PA. Melissa works with all children, but specializes in children with apraxia and Down Syndrome.  Melissa has been a lead therapist at our speech/language and social skills camp for the past 4 years  She has been building her oral motor repertoire with recent continuing education courses through Talk Tools, Inc. to address speech and feeding goals. Recent course work includes Sarah Rosenfield-Johnson’s Oral Placement Therapy and Feeding Therapy: A Sensory-Motor Approach presented by Lori Overland.

Melissa is an avid scuba diver and spends one week a year on a dive trip. This year she returns to Cayman Brac for the 3rd time! She also enjoys returning to PennState for their Dance Marathon and visiting her toddler twin nieces in Pennsylvania.
